Happy New Year!

2014 was an exciting year for the VotL team! The film was completed and premiered to the Pembroke community, and we won several awards shortly after its completion. 2015 holds big things in store for Voices of the Lumbee as we plan to screen it at film festivals across the U.S. (and maybe beyond)! Stay tuned for news on where it will be showing. In the meantime, here are a few images from the premiere of Voices of the Lumbee at our own 2014 Lumbee River Independent Film Festival. Seasons Greetings!

Hi folks,

The holidays and a new year are closing in! It was an extremely eventful year for the VotL team and we’re looking forward to more news and events related to the film in 2015. We get emails from folks wondering when the film will be available for the general public. We assure you that day is coming and ask for a little more patience. Currently Voices of the Lumbee is under consideration for film festivals throughout the U.S. and Canada. We should begin getting notifications about its acceptance status as early as January or February. If all goes well we’ll be screening the movie to a variety of audiences and seeking distribution venues so that more folks can be exposed to the film’s messages. We’ll continue posting updates as information comes to us.

In the meantime, we hope each and every one of you has a safe and happy holiday, and that 2015 treats you well.
